As a Roblox player, of course you need to know about the rules of playing in this platform. If you do not know about it, you may do a mistake which can lead you to get warning. And even the worst thing is that you can be banned.
Talking about being banned, it is important for you to know how many warnings on Roblox until you get banned. Here, you can read the explanation about it.
The Amount of Warnings To Ban a Roblox Player
According to Roblox Wiki, a ban in Roblox is a form of account suspension where it can happen if a player violates the Terms of Use or Community Rules on Roblox. Usually, players will be given warnings on their first few offenses. The amount of warnings a user is able to get before getting an actual ban is various.
If a player does a violation and the violation that she or he does is serious thing such as scamming, phishing, hacking, adult content, game theft or violation of federal law, the account of that player is able to be deleted without any notices.
However, a player is also able to get a ban from an individual game, but this ban is only brought by a game moderator where it means that it is not by a Roblox administrator.
If a Roblox account is deleted, players are not able to see the profiles anymore. However, on January 15th, 2014, there was a bug where it gave users access to see terminated account profiles.
The Levels of Ban
In Roblox, there are some levels of ban where it depends on the severity of the behaviour. According to Roblox site, here are the levels of ban.
- Warnings
You are able to go back into your account if you agree to the Terms of Use. Sometimes, this level is utilized to provide users with feedback about their creations. - 1 day ban
This ban happens for 24 hours from the time the moderation was initiated. - 3 day ban
This ban happens for 72 hours from the time the moderation was initiated. - 7 day ban
This ban happens for 1 week from the time the moderation was initiated. - Deletion
If your account is deleted, it means that your account has been closed and it is not able to be reopened automatically.
According to Roblox Wiki, in addition to the ban levels above, there are also the other ban levels as you are able to read below.
- Ban/ in-experience ban
This is a ban which is done by an experience administrator and often it uses a command script. If a player is banned from an experience, she / he will get error code 267 with a reason. This ban only applies to a specific experience and there are four types of this ban.
- Kick
A ban where a player is got rid of a server by an experience administrator. However, the player is still able to rejoin the server. - Server Ban
A type of ban where a player is banned from a server by an in-experience administrator. The player is still able to visit the experience in a server different from the one the experience administrator banned them in. - Temporary ban
A ban where a player is banned from all servers of an experience for a set period of time. - Permanent ban
A ban where from all servers of an experience, a Roblox player is banned permanently.
- Kick
- Poison Ban
The account of the player and other accounts which are associated to the IP of the player are deleted. Also, creating new account is disabled. It can happen if a player severely violates the Terms of Service or a federal law. Poisoned players are able to get into the Roblox website and log into an account which is not connected to the IP of the poisoned player.
- IP Ban (7 Days)
This ban is reserved for very severe violation of the Terms of Service or federal law. All players on this IP address will be blocked for 7 days and they will see a 403 error when they are trying to access the Roblox website.
- Invalid Credentials Ban
This ban is the most powerful ban a player can get. All players on this IP address will be banned from accessing the Roblox website permanently. This ban can happen if a player violates federal law severely.
- Error 0x1 (MAC Address)
This was a ban which was given out somewhere in 2012 – 2014 and it is given when a player tries to play with a MAC banned device. It is unknown how long this ban happens. Players who had uploaded adult content to the site also received this ban. This ban prevents players to play games and to publish in studio. Today, this ban is still available, but now it does not show error 0x1, it closes Roblox soon after opening. It only occurs on the Windows version.
Avoiding Getting Banned on Roblox
If you do not want to be banned, you have to behave well in Roblox platform. As explained above, you will be banned if you violate the terms of service. So, you have to make sure that you do not violate the terms of service in Roblox. Here are several things that can prevent you from being banned.
- Don’t use bad words. Often, game players utter bad words to express their feeling towards the games that they are playing or to the other players. But, do you know that playing games without saying bad words is still fun? Don’t say bad words if you do not want to be banned.
- Don’t be inappropriate. Make sure that you do not talk about the things which are inappropriate such as drugs, gangs, hacking, sex and any other things like this. If you do the inappropriate things, other players will report you to Roblox.
- Don’t hack the game. When you are playing games in Roblox, make sure that you do it fairly. If you hack the game which lead you to gate unfair advantages, you may be banned.
- Don’t ask other players’ passwords, hack the game or spam. If you are caught by other players, they will report you to Roblox.
